HERITAGE - lovely facilities in a glorious setting

Autumn can be a quiet subtle time. But given half a chance we are out in the sun! Spring blooms: azalea and rhodo!

Summer and time for a tan!

Or a dip in the pool! Time to get really wet!

Back to the start

Everyone must be in the pool! Everything revolves around the pool at Heritage. An enormous conservatory looks out onto a newly rebuilt pool surrounded by a new and extensive sun patio. Nearby is a brand new children's pool which can double as a plunge pool for the sauna.
Come and join us The sun stays on the terrace till the late afternoon, and parents can easily supervise their kids in the pool. Boards, inflatables and toys are fine in the pool when its not full of dedicated swimmers.
Blimey thats cold! From this picture, you might not assume that the pool is usually over 26C and often hotter. It is heated by solar panels and gas with a cover to retain heat at night. Of course the brave just jump straight in!
And in spring - its all flowers as well The conservatory faces south and at the first hint of sun quickly reaches a temperature which makes any clothing superfluous! For most of the summer the conservatory doors are slid open simply to cool it off!

The play area from the wendy house The club has many nooks and crannies where the children can disappear to. We have wendy houses, sandpits and adventure frames, as well as lots of toys and games. The kids have a dedicated chalet for computers and hanging out in.
Father Christmas has a present for everyone At Christmas, its parties all round and a chance for  Father Christmas to visit with his fairy helpers. Father Christmas has been known to actually descend from the chimney with his sack!
Over the top and down the other side! During the final 'bank-holiday' week in August, traditionally the club is handed over to parents and children for a week of adventure. We have our own climbing wall as well. The kids put on plays and generally get filthy etc. Adults beware!
OK - the floor pattern is pretty jaded! The clubhouse is warm and functional with a TV room, table top football and table tennis table. A small stage is at one end, and at the other is a wood burner for the winter evenings. A sauna is behind the far wall.

  I came for an afternoon
   and stayed for a week!
Our visitors drop by from all over the world. Here its tidying up after a volley ball tournament.

Many of us take pleasure in doing the gardening and grounds work that makes Heritage such a delight. Over 60 years of tender care has turned this once forested corner of Berkshire into an idyllic parkland.

We are bordered on one side by national trust woodland, by a woodland road on another side and by private woodland on the thrid side.

Several members live, literally just over the fence!

You may be camping or staying in our mobile home and wake up to the sound of woodpeckers and chaffinches.

We have just the single mobile home for rent, but its available to guests and members alike.

After a while, established members can have permanent tent sites or chalets allocated to them. Members retain their site till their usage falls away or they give up the site.

As the club gets busy, all the little corners in the sun become opportunities for you to relax and get that tan
Early, waiting for the club to fill up. Our conservatory is used for many of our social events: in the autumn the massive formal dinner, in the summer the barn dance and discos, or we lay out the skittle alley and bowl away.
Looking towards the sports field early in the morining in the spring. We have goals for the children, badminton, tennis, volleyball etc. Take your pick!
