a midsummer treat

Taken on mid-summer night, a raft of colour.

As in the previous two years this was not an official club expedition but organised for club members. Last year we visited SABLIERE in August and LA JENNY in June. It was last year's short June trip that encouraged us to book the full three weeks.

some pictures by  Heritage supports France 4 Naturisme and others by club members

How we got on .....

Walls of water - brilliant body boarding
"I stayed on" Wasn't that brilliant?!!
Don't drink the froth
The surf was spectacular. At times it was almost too dangerous. Bridget had to be 'rescued' by a seriously 'fit' lifeguard - did she drift into the rip current deliberately?

On one day the waves were the height of houses and their power took us in several hundred metres up the beach.

"Where DID he get to?" Super surf
"I'm over here"
Not everyone could stay on and had to watch the 'experts' breeze into shore.

Over 20 club members booked into our reserved group of four chalets near the pools from anything from 3 days to 3 weeks.

 One without
 One with
 One half done
 One carried
At times it seemed we even had the beach to ourselves. The sea temperature was between 16C and 19C so the less 'hardy' donned wet suits from time to time.
" Shhhhhhh "
Your coffee's cold!
Warm toes ... mmmmmm!
Breakfast was a cup of coffee in the sun.

And when the surf was too rough ( or too calm ) we lazed, played tennis and swam in the pools.

Dash for the splash La Jenny's pools are beautiful and this snapshot does not do them justice. In the early part of the day the pools were almost empty.
Mean surfer in relax mode
I usually take the pictures!
I fell off my board
At other times we just had to top up the tan on La Jenny's enormous beach. It is possible to stroll several kilometres in either direction naturist.

But not every day was sunny and on the greyer days we visited the chateaux and even the Dune de Pilat.

At other times, it was possible simply to stand and stare, gazing across the ocean and to dream of what lies out there.
Wow - that was good!
Or of course, one can dream of the next wave, the next surf and the next adventure with the ocean

If you, your partner and family want to be part of this, then contact Heritage. A club can be more than just a plot of land: it should be a place to make friends and enjoy each other's company - home and abroad.
