HOW WILL WE FIT IN ?

Heritage is large enough to have a very wide membership.  We cant guarantee you will fit in, but we will do our utmost to make you feel welcome. We will introduce you to others who may have recently joined and get your children to meet some of the other youngsters. We all use first names at Heritage.

Some people use Heritage just to lie in the sun and relax. Others enjoy the sports: tennis, swimming, volleyball etc. Nearly everyone makes new and long lasting friendships. There are often informal organised trips to other places, abroad and in the UK. Like any community, Heritage is precisely what you make of it. Heritage has been here for its members for over 60 years now.

All of us here have kids at HERITAGE -
a chance for the family to relax.

Our social events do provide a good opportunity to unwind and chat away with others. There are more than two or three 'coincidences' when people have previously bumped into each other in other walks of life. Some of get to be very close friends and many of us often meet each other on a naturist holiday abroad.

ARRANGING THE FIRST VISITS - check details of visitor 'rules'

You may have written to us for details, emailed us or even left a message on our answering machine. Hopefully we will have replied almost immediately.

Someone from the club will then suggest a date to come over and visit us - usually a sunny Sunday. Typically you will roll up about 11:00am and stay most of the day. A guest fee is payable.

Most join us after that first visit but we are happy if you come back on a 'look around' basis for two more visits.

Are the social events clothed ?

During the daytime - no - (subject to weather).

In the evening, a club organised event will be clothed.

Otherwise in the evenings, it depends on you. A warm summer evening in the conservatory will mean that people sit around as they see fit. In the winter, you may pile out of the sauna and sit around the wood fire chatting. Heritage is very relaxed, for us naturism is not a creed but a way of chilling out and enjoying life.

I'm a single lady at Heritage.
  Its a lovely non-threatening
  atmosphere and I've made
  many new friendships.

On that first trip to Heritage I was definitely nervous. I didn't know how the kids would react or what my wife would feel. I knew from France and Denmark that being able to relax naked in the sun was what I wanted to do - was I imposing this on everyone else?

Despite the experiences of beaches in Europe, the site of so many naked people just having fun and relaxing, was still a surprise in the UK.

The nicest bit was simply being made welcome and invited to join in things. The kids jumped in the pool and my fears evaporated. In the end we were 'slow' joiners of Heritage - it was nearly two years before we actually joined - but it was worth it. (Ian)

The big gate opened and we were met by a very cheerful clothed lady - (thank goodness).

A few minutes later as I gingerly felt the water of the swimming pool the same lady (now nude) encouraged me to join her in the pool. When I was dry and enjoying my picnic with my family, several club members came individually to chat to us.

Suddenly it was ice-cream time and my kids eagerly queued up. I felt a little shy in a queue of naked people but all were so friendly that I quickly relaxed.  (J)
